MCACN 2022: Muscle Cars and Corvette Nationals 2022

The 13th annual Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals (MCACN 2022) brought together another intoxicating combination of muscle cars, Corvettes, and dealer-prepped supercars.

Held November 18 & 19, 2022, at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Illinois, over 500 vehicles and thousands of spectators came together for another epic event.

Let’s take a quick look at some of the standout displays from MCACN 2022, shall we?

With more than 25 displays to choose from, picking my favorites is always tough. However, here are a handful of the ones I enjoyed the most at the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals 2022.

Barn Finds and Hidden Gems

427 Yenko Nova with a teardrop hood is the centerpiece of the 2022 MCACN Barn Finds & Hidden Gems Display.

Author and automotive journalist Ryan Brutt curated another impressive assortment of glorious barn finds and hidden gems from Ford, GM, and Chrysler.

The Buick GS Special Display was a display within a display and featured the 1972 Buick GS Stage 1—including rare and seldom-seen GSX versions.

Maple Leaf Muscle Invitational

Ultra rare 1967 Pontiac Beaumont SD Cheetah 427 4-speed. Owned by George Pappas of British Columbia, Canada.

The Maple Leaf Muscle Display featured over a dozen exclusive and mass-market muscle cars sold in Canada, including the Chevy Beaumont SD and Pontiac Acadian.

Wellborn Aero Warriors Invitational

This survivor 1969 Dodge Daytona 440 owned by Daniel Leclerc of Quebec, Canada, kicks off an incredible sight of rear-wing aero cars.

Wellborn Aero Warriors Invitational Display brought together even more Superbirds and Daytonas outside of the Wings Over America display with the added twist of the 1969 Charger 500. Organized by Tim Wellborn from the Wellborn Muscle Car Museum.

Mr. Norm’s Grand Spaulding Dodge Invitational

1971 Dodge Demon GSS sold new at Grand Spaulding Dodge. Owned by Mark Aletto of Utah.

The Mr. Norm’s Grand Spaulding Dodge Invitational Display was a tribute display to Norm Krauss—who recently passed away on Friday, February 26, 2021, at the age of 87. Mr. Norm’s promotional van was there, along with various vehicles sold and modified at his Chicago, Illinois, Dodge dealership.
