Patrick Glenn Nichols is known as a muscle car barn find hunter, photojournalist, and Youtube sensation.

If his name sounds familiar, perhaps it’s because you’ve read one of his articles in CarCraft, SuperChevy, or HotRod Magazine.

Or perhaps you’ve watched one of his 60+ videos on his YouTube channel Patrick Glenn Nichols Musclecar Barn Finds, which he started in 2015.

Patrick’s style of videos is very different from My Car Story with Lou where he walks around the car and comments on what he sees by himself rather than interviewing the owner.

With over 37,000 subscribers and nearly 11 million video views on his YouTube channel, chances are you’re probably one of them.

If you haven’t heard of him, read more about Patrick Glenn Nichols, and his muscle car barn finds.

The Rise of a Muscle Car Barn Find Hunter

In a time when incredible muscle car barn finds seem to pop up everywhere, Patrick Glenn Nichols has documented some of the rarest.

Patrick specializes in one of the most iconic of all time the 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS. However, he appreciates all muscle cars and goes wherever the hunt takes him.

He’s featured many muscle cars, including:

While he lives in Clarksville, Tennessee, he isn’t afraid to travel to authenticate and record a piece of muscle car history.

As his notoriety grew, Patrick started receiving tips from all over the country and isn’t afraid to jump on a plane to go document them for everyone to see.

He’s traveled near and far, including Arkansas, California, Ohio, Kansas, Iowa, Maryland, Texas, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Virginia, New Jersey, New York, and Wisconsin.

Patrick is not only a muscle car barn find hunter, but he’s also a collector. And his collection is growing.

Patrick Glenn Nichols Musclecar Barn Find Collection

First, he has owned a 1970 Chevelle SS 396 with 3-speed turbo hydramatic transmission since high school. It’s fully restored and is a beautiful machine.

His Chevelle is painted Cranberry red with black stripes and has a black vinyl top with a black vinyl bucket seat interior. It also features a cowl induction hood, center console, and SS Rallye wheels.

But, his collection doesn’t stop there.

He recently acquired a 1970 Chevelle SS 454 LS6 with only 1,092 miles on the odometer.

There is only one other 1970 Chevelle LS6 with lower miles. The video documentary of this Chevelle is featured below.

Nor does his collection stop there.

He also owns a 1969 Nova SS L78 396 automatic sold at Yenko Chevrolet that he recently acquired from the original owner. See that story in the video below.

His series stands out because of the rarity of the vehicles he features and his thoroughness and detailed approach when documenting them.

He makes you feel like you’re shoulder to shoulder with him on each find.

His Southern charm and extensive knowledge of decoding the data plate, VIN, stamps, and other markings make his videos informative and engaging.

Patrick has a nuanced understanding of the assembly protocols and processes of many of the factories and uses those skills to authenticate the vehicles he films.

While he rarely appears in his videos, he wants you to experience and see the finds exactly as he does from behind the camera.

In each video you get a full walk-around of each muscle car barn find on location, setting up the surroundings so you can see exactly how he finds them.

Narrating and documenting things as he goes, he identifies and educates inside and out of the vehicle as he films.
